Ecoscape contracted to complete Shoreline Management Plan |

Ecoscape has recently been retained by the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen to complete a shoreline management plan for Skaha Lake in British Columbia’s South Okanagan. This exciting project involves comprehensive Foreshore Inventory Mapping for which Ecoscape is currently updating field assessment procedures with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the BC Ministry of Environment and local governments. Subsequent to the completion of field inventory and analysis, Ecoscape and associates will develop an aquatic habitat index and, in conjunction with the social and economic needs of the area, create a framework for ecologically responsible lake and shoreline use. |
